Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

IS THE PLAY MACHINES KIT FOR RENT OR FOR SALE?

The sets are for sale so each student gets to keep his/her (their) own set after their parents have purchased it. The set is essential for the Young Engineers Play Machines Program.

WHAT DOES EACH SET CONTAIN?

The Play Machines set contains a total of 369 parts, including a motor, a battery box, rubber bands, thread, and a partition organizer. The set also contains spare parts, but does not contain batteries

IS THE SET LEGO® OR LEGO® COMPATIBLE?

The Young Engineers Online sets consist of high quality LEGO® compatible pieces, but are not LEGO®

CAN I BUY THE PARTS FROM ANOTHER PLACE (e.g. from LEGO®)?

Since these are customized kits designed specifically for our programs, the Young Engineers Online (Play Machines) sets can only be purchased from us.

HOW CAN STUDENTS SEE THE BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH MODEL?

The teacher will provide the students a link and its corresponding password to the building model during every session.

DO THE PLAY MACHINES SETS CONTAIN DIFFERENT PIECES FROM THE ONES THAT ARE USED IN THE OTHER YOUNG ENGINEERS PROGRAMS (e.g. Bricks Challenge, Galileo Technic, Robotics, etc.)?

The Young Engineers (Play Machines) Online parts are different from the ones that are used in the other Young Engineers programs or classes.

WHAT ARE THE NECESSARY PAYMENTS FOR THE PLAY MACHINES PROGRAM?

The payment to purchase the Play Machines Set and the subscription fee for the program.

HOW SHOULD THE SET UP LOOK?

The students should have their kits ready and a device setup for the Zoom call to join the online class with our teachers.

IS IT COMPLETELY ONLINE FOR STUDENTS?

The online teaching process goes as follows:

Each student buys and receives a kit.

They register for an online lesson that will be given through Zoom.

The teacher provides a theoretical explanation and then directs the students to the building instructions to assemble the model using the set they have.

  1. My son is 10 yrs old and part of the robotics team of their school. Do you recommend that he register for the module 1 first? Or can he go straight to module 2?is the module 1 a pre requisite?
I also have a daughter interested but she’s 16 years old already. What do u recommend?
Can we pay on installment basis?

    1. Dear Mrs. Dizon

Thank you for your interest in our program. We wish you and your family well in these trying times.

At 10, your son would now be in Grade 4? May we know which school he goes to and if he took his robotics classes there? We’ll need to know that to determine whether we can still offer him our program.
Our regular programs cater to students of ages 4-15. Thus, unfortunately, we do not have one suitable for your daughter. Also, due to COVID19, we are only able to offer our online courses now which, at this time, covers only students aged 6-10. Rest assured, however, that we are working to offer our more advanced courses online soon.

We will give you a call later today to discuss further questions that you may have.
Again, thank you and have a good day!
